Founded by national champion Tomas Martinez, La Siciliana Chess Club is more than a place to learn — it’s a community built on logic, growth, and passion for the game.

We believe chess teaches the same skills that shape success in life: focus, patience, creativity, and the art of strategic decision-making.

La Siciliana Chess Club is a certified club by the United States Chess Federation (USCF) and the National Scholastic Chess Federation (NSCF).

The Coach

Tomas has been playing chess for more than a 12 years; since he was 6 years old. He has been competing professionally for 9 years, and coaching and teaching for 3 years.
